We use shortcuts for saving our time while using the computer. Keyboard shortcuts can increase our productivity, reduce repetitive strain, and help keep us focused. The knowledge of shortcuts also increase our interest use of computer. It make us feel like computer expert.
Copy paste shortcut
- Both Ctrl + C and Ctrl + Insert will copy highlighted text. And Ctrl+X is use for cutting the highlighted text.
- Shift + Insert and Ctrl + V are use for pasting purpose.
Do And Undo Shortcut
- Ctrl + Z will Undo any change.
- Ctrl + Y would redo the undo.
Find Shortcut
- Ctrl+f is use to open find in many program. example- in this browser.
Switching between opened programs
- Alt+Tab will do switching job between the opened programs.
- Window+tab will show the opened programs, we also can select program.
Delete a full word at a time
- Ctrl + Backspace will delete the full words.( backspace will just delete a letter )
Reverse Delete a letter/full word
- del will delete the letter in reverse order unlike backspace.
- Ctrl+del will delete the words in reverse order.
Saving file.
- Ctrl+S is use to save any file.
Move the cursor to the beginning/end of the document
- Ctrl+home will move the cursor to the beginning.
- Ctrl+end will move the cursor to the end of document.
Print (page)
- Ctrl+P will open a preview for printing the page.
- we can also save the page in pdf form using this method. we can do 'save as pdf' to save the page.
Move that page one page up/down
- Page up will move full page up.
- Page down key will move that page one page at a time in that direction.
- When browsing the Internet, spacebar also moves the page down one page.
Others
- Ctrl+Shift+Esc is use to open task manager.
- Window+L will lock your window.
- Window+D will minimize all active programs.
- Alt+Enter to open the properties of any file.
- Shift+Del to delete any file permanently.
- Window+PtrSc(printcreen) to take the snapshot od the sereen.
